One of the most exciting times in your life is when you head off to college. Now, let me tell you why. First of all, you no longer have to deal with the folks. Suddenly freedom is yours. There’s no curfew or punishment for coming in at 4 a.m. There’s no one telling you to get your homework done before you head out to have some fun. And there’s definitely no one forcing you to consume certain foods. Yes indeed, the world is yours for the taking. You schedule the classes when you want them to be. Alarm clocks are for the birds and the folks who are still in high school. How does that strike you? I can still recall the adjustment I made from high school to college. It was a major one, but I loved it. My folks even sent me a college gift basket to get me started. It was loaded with supplies and food. SWEET!
Maybe it’s time you picked up a nice college gift basket for your son or daughter who’s heading off to college. Trust me; we all love getting this stuff. As many of you already know, once classes begin, money is tight. Therefore any free stuff is awesome. I would have taken a college gift basket from the folks on a weekly basis if they would send it. It’s just one of those minor reminders that you’re loved and still have a place to go back to. That makes you feel good and secure when you venture out on your own for the first time. When it comes to a modern-day college gift basket, it can really consist of anything. What does your child like or enjoy? This is what you should be pondering. Then get online and check out the plethora of pre-made college gift baskets. You can easily get them with anything you want in them. Personally I prefer lots and lots of junk food. However, cash is always good as well. I mean come on; who can turn down cold-hard cash?
If the cyberspace thing is not for you, you can always create a fine college gift basket of your own. However, I recommend sending this baby with some insurance. I no longer trust the UPS or USPS. Both are bad about losing stuff. Then again if you insure the college gift basket, they probably won’t lose it in transit. The last thing they want to do is pay you for it. Do some brainstorming and create a nice college gift basket for your kid now. They’ve earned it!
